Tell us a little about how your company got its start and about its primary function.
My partner, Bob Foust, and I started Electronic Creations in 1981 as a high end stereo and video store that catered to audiophiles and videophiles, and offered personalized installation. Over the years, builders contacted us to install products in model homes or to help them plan for installations in spec and contract homes. As technology and products evolved, Electronic Creations continued to add new categories such as home theater systems, lighting and shade control, home automation, and most recently, digital healthcare systems which enable the elderly and persons recuperating to stay in their own home instead of going into a care facility.

Where would you like to get involved in the HBA?
Technology in the modern home is becoming standard. We envision promoting these technologies to create high performance homes that are environmentally friendly and convenient and fun to live in.  

What do you like best about your job?
Helping builders and homeowners create the home of their dreams and having them tell me how much enjoyment they get from the systems and products we installed in their house.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I am currently restoring a ’61 Porsche cabriolet and a 1972 Triumph T100 motorcycle. I also practice martial arts and yoga.  

What would you like people to know about you?
My father got me involved in electronics and home remodeling when I was a kid. I have been involved in selling and installing audio and video products since I was a freshman in college in 1968. I was a founding partner in an A/V business in Ohio in 1971 and have been in the industry since then.
