Sales Spotlight

A sales spotlight will be chosen quarterly. The winners will be given a free registration to that quarter's SMC Breakfast. They will be recognized at the SMC Breakfast and at their company's weekly sales meeting.
Requirements:

1. In 500 words or less, answer one or more of the following questions:

a. What activities do you pursue during your free time?

b. Describe a sales technique or follow-up technique that is working for you.
c. How do you invest in your own success this year (ex. professional designations, sales training/classes, books)?
d. How long have you been in the industry, and what keeps you going?
e. How do you deal with the competition from re sales and foreclosures?
f. How important are Competitive Market Analyses to your sales efforts?
g. How do you differentiate yourself from your competitors?
h. Do you set goals every year? If yes, explain your process.
i. What are the most important 3 qualities of a successful new home sales professional?

Welcome to my World

Here is your opportunity to share and gain ideas, motivation, tips, best practices & observations from salespeople, and sales & marketing managers. Submissions will be posted monthly on the SMC page of the HBA website and possibly published in the HBA News. Requirements:

1. Must be submitted by a sales and/or marketing manager, or salesperson
2. No advertorial, but topical & relevant issues in 500 words or less
3. One (1) digital color print of author (if applicable)

Potential topics: positives of downsizing; boosting morale; tactics for up selling; grass roots marketing; sales training; sales meeting ideas; customer service; promotional campaigns; realtor relations; financing; internet sales; mergers & acquisitions….or simply general observations or editorial on the industry if it has a positive message.
