Sales & Marketing Council

The Sales and Marketing Council is an organization within the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando which acts as a catalyst for professional growth, achievement and community involvement of our members. The Sales and Marketing Council strives to foster the highest level of ethics, integrity and professionalism for our industry and our community.

The Sales and Marketing council holds many events throughout the year including quarterly breakfasts, After Hours events, SAM Tram, MAME, Holiday Party and educational opportunities.

Annual Dues: $75.99 per individual

SMC Sub-committees

Programs–Coordinates the programming for the quarterly breakfasts.   Finalizes the program topics. Recruits and confirms the speakers and/or panelists. Develops questions for the panelists. Greets the speaker and/or panelist at the breakfast and troubleshoots any questions they might have.

Chair – Kristin Merrick, Central Florida New Home Guide

Meetings: 1st Thursday of every month at 10 am at HBA

Education–Coordinates CSP & IRM courses. Recruits attendees for class and instructors. Works with HBA Staff to select what courses will be offered and select the dates. Coordinates the marketing campaign including email/fax blasts to members, HBA News ad/articles, and making phone calls. Introduces the guest instructor on the first day of class. Makes education related announcements at the monthly breakfast.

Realtor Relations–Coordinates the New Home Preview and SAM TRAM events. Solicits attendees and sponsors. 

Chair - Greg Mazza, Chase Mortgage

Meetings: 1st Tuesday of every month at 4:00 pm at HBA

After Hours–Coordinates 3-4 after hours events including Bowling Tournament and Holiday Party. Solicits attendees and sponsors.

Chair - Lisa Foor-Lee, Real Estate Investment Title

Meetings: 1st Thursday of every month at 10 am at HBA

Membership–Develops a membership campaign for the year. Recruits new members through builder/associate outreach. Attends new member orientations to represent the SMC. Develops an internal communications campaign. Creates content for SMC e-newsletter. Creates content for SMC webpage.

Chair – Shelley Fitzwater, Agent Direct News

Meetings: 1st Thursday of every month at 10 am at HBA

Major Achievement Awards–Executes the Major Achievements Awards gala. Administers promotional campaign, venue selection, décor, theme development, sponsorship, ticket sales, and entry solicitation.
