The Sales and Marketing Council is an organization within the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando which acts as a catalyst for professional growth, achievement and community involvement of our members. The Sales and Marketing Council strives to foster the highest level of ethics, integrity and professionalism for our industry and our community.

The Sales and Marketing council holds many events throughout the year including quarterly breakfasts, After Hours events, SAM Tram, Major Achievement Awards, HBA Holiday Party and educational opportunities.

Annual Dues: $35.99 - 95.99 per individual or Company memberships available

Meetings: 1st Thursday 9:00 a.m.

SMC Sub-committees

Programs/Education– Selects the speakers, programming & content for breakfasts and education classes. Greets and orients the speakers, and coordinates the event.
Chair – Elizabeth Porter, Adams Homes

Home Expo - REALTOR® Expo of new home builders and remodelers.
Chair - Theresa Swanson, Florida Home Media

SAM Tram - SAM Tram is a unique opportunity for builder and associate members to network directly with local REALTORS®. REALTORS® are chauffeured in luxury coaches on a tour of new Central Florida communities. Builders are given the opportunity to entertain the REALTORS® and “show-off” their homes. Associate sponsors ride on the bus with the REALTORS® for all day networking opportunities.
Chair - Lisa Bennett, Quality Title & Escrow

Closing Time - After hours networking event with ORRA held on the third Wednesday of each month. Location changes depending on the host.

Bowling Bash - Annual bowling tournament of the HBA.

Holiday Party - Annual holiday party and auction of the HBA.
Chair - Karmi Sheppard, SunTrust Mortgage

Major Achievement Awards–Executes the Major Achievements Awards gala. Administers promotional campaign, venue selection, décor, theme development, sponsorship, ticket sales, and entry solicitation.
