IT’S ELECTION TIME AT HBA!

OFFICIAL NOTICE:

The election of the 2012 HBA of Metro Orlando Senior officers and directors will take place at the association’s annual meeting on Tuesday, October 11, 2011at 4:30pm.
Following is a summary of what will occur and the rules on how it happens.
  • There are four candidates for two builder-director seats.  The two candidates receiving the most votes will receive a three-year term.
  • There are five candidates for three associate-director seats. The two candidates receiving the most votes will receive a three-year term; the candidate receiving the third most votes will fill the remaining unexpired term of the Associate Director running for the Secretary position.
  • The ASSOCIATE membership (primary members only) will vote to elect the 2012 Associate Vice President.
  • The ENTIRE membership (primary members only) will elect the 2012 Secretary.
  • Immediately following the Annual Meeting, the 2011 Board of Directors will convene to elect the Vice President and the Treasurer. 
  • Aldo Martin became the President-Elect at the August 16th Board of Directors meeting and will become the President when he is sworn in at the November 3rd Installation.

The Voting Process

 

Each member company is entitled to one vote in each Director’s race and only the primary member for each company shall be eligible to cast the vote. If you have any question about who is your primary, contact the HBA at (407) 629-9242 to verify the identity of the eligible voter. 
 

Online Absentee Voting will take place from Monday, October 3rd through Monday, October 10th.  An email will be sent for the primary member to cast their vote.  You will only have from October 3-10, 2011 to submit your online absentee vote via email. Directions for online absentee voting will be noted in the voting email.

 *On September 28, 2011, the HBA Life Directors elected Associate Director Candidate Rick Caccavello  as a voting Life Director for the 2012 Board of Directors.  Therefore, RIck has been removed as a candidate in the election process.
